In 2001, the world witnessed the horrible tragedy of 911 in New York City where hundreds of children lost parents, grandparents and relatives. In an overwhelming response, Jill Ann Siemens, Founder of The Canadian Tenors and Tenore, sat down at her piano and composed Sempre Vicino: A Child's Prayer for Peace. Eventually this song would go on to win The 2002 International Song of Peace contest in Ireland along with former Mayor of New York, Rudi Giuliani, winning the International Leader of Peace award that same year. "A beautiful and heartfelt song" Rudolph W. Giuliani, wrote, now transformed into a charming and heartfelt book that dialogues the topics of peace, faith and prayer between the children and angels.
